Artist's Comments

this is oh... 7 or 8 feet tall. this pic shows the scale: image

materials were several stretched and gesso'd sheets of paper more or less glued together for the surface. some acrylic paint and watercolor and anything else i could find to dirty up the surface. charcoal and charcoal/turp. mix mostly with some gesso for the lighter areas.

it's so brutal in a calm way. hard time explaining my thoughts but I like it very much. the pale colors not have to be cold....just beautiful.

I love the cracks allover the painting. great work.

it's immense, seriously, the transition between the quarters of the image are a very nice touch, and as usual, your colour sense is spot on, the top section is incredibly rich, allround masterpiece and if you didn't get top marks, shoot your lecturers

Yea, looks nice. Great use of different meduims

What ~chdani said "it's so brutal in a calm way" I was trying to think of something to describe it, and there it is. It looks so unhappy, with the colors you used, and your body language - looks so ashamed, or uncomfterble to be exposed. *keeps scrolling back up to look at it. fav's for future looking*

That is BEAUTIFUL, marvelouse use of colors and materials! I love that texture and essence you gave it! It's awesome how much effort and such you had to go through to get such an amazing artwork like that! And that's truely something to be proud about! :)

Holy shit man, I have never heard of such dedication to a piece such as this. I think it looks great, you should be proud of the job that you did. This is real cool, and also because of the actual size of this and an understanding of having to work with deadlines, I'm gonna fave this cause of the work you put into it and how much came from it. Bravo
:icondillpill:
oh my... all the blood and guts you put out for this piece really shines through
it's just incredibly done...composition, pose, layers, soo much going on for it.
I've really been wanting to accomplish something on a larger scale...I tend to stop a quarter way into large pieces, or at least go over it with one process and puff out too soon.
